Our Sustainability Policy
Stockton Bearings & Transmissions is committed to operating in a responsible and sustainable manner. We recognise that our activities, particularly in distribution, transport and packaging, have an environmental impact, and we aim to reduce this wherever reasonably practicable while continuing to meet customer needs.
As a distributor of bearings, transmissions, MRO supplies, janitorial products, PPE, workwear and footwear, our focus is on managing the environmental impact of our day-to-day operations. This includes how we use energy and materials, how we manage waste, and how we carry out deliveries.
SBT comply with all relevant environmental legislation and aim to use resources efficiently across the business. We take practical steps to reduce waste, limit unnecessary packaging, and encourage recycling wherever possible. Deliveries are planned to minimise fuel use and avoid unnecessary journeys, and vehicles are maintained to support efficiency and safety.
We also recognise the role our suppliers play and aim to work with those who operate responsibly. Internally, we encourage employees to be mindful of environmental impact and to contribute to improving how we work.
The Managing Directors are responsible for supporting this policy and ensuring it remains appropriate to the business. All employees are expected to follow company practices and contribute to reducing environmental impact.
